Stauffers of Kissel Hill "We have utilized the Personal Profile Instrument as part of a larger course on Personal Effectiveness for approximately 6-1/2 years. This course is mandatory for all of our managers. The Personal Profile has been an invaluable tool in our training. Individuals discover their personal style and how it affects others. It enables them to understand the differences among their co-workers. Many have stated that their effectiveness has been enhanced in accomplishing of tasks through and with others. We recently had some challenges with a team of five employees. They had difficulty working together so we initiated a 4-session Team Building course. They nicknamed it ‘Group Therapy.’ However, the DiSC profile proved beneficial in those discussions as well. When each person understood co-workers’ strengths and weaknesses, he/she seemed to be more tolerant of others and more willing to work together. We challenge our managers, at the conclusion of the training, to choose a co-worker whose profile is different from theirs and develop a strategy to help them communicate more effectively with that individual. The results are increased productivity and a better quality of service. We feel the Personal Profile is one of the single most effective instruments in the market today on the understanding of human behavior."
